An upstream NBN outage has been identified affecting a small subset of users. Carrier technicians are investigating currently.
3rd party carrier Engineers and 3rd party Vendor identified the fault was due to updated software in a device in the Ethernet network at Blacktown Exchange.
When traffic was moved back to the device after the update, this caused a surge overload, resulting in the intermittent outages in Voice and Data services.
The updated device was rectified to restore service.
3rd party engineers are conducting a full review.
